Strategy: The second parameter of the COUNTIF can be a calculation. As shown in Fig. 603, you can concatenate a text operator with a calculation, such as the one that follows.

=COUNTIF(B2:B26,“>”&AVERAGE(B2:B26))

Summary: Using the result of a calculation as the criteria argument for the COUNTIF opens up a wide possibility of measurements using COUNTIF and SUMIF.
